2017 Goals
2016 is the first year I’ve consciously kept my goals in mind throughout the year, so I thought I’d keep on the same path and make a new set of goals for 2017.

Christmas on a Budget
Christmas damn near bankrupts me almost every year. In an attempt to be better with my money, I've been a bit savvier this year and budgeted quite well. I thought I'd share some tips I found really helpful during the Christmas period.

Christmas at Clarins Skin Spa *
I have had a taste of heaven. No seriously, I'm pretty sure if I died right now and heaven was an actual thing, Clarins Skin Spa is where I'd end up (if I wasn't such a terrible person).

Where the Hell Have I Been?
In case you hadn't noticed, I'd taken a bit of a 'leave of absence' from blogging for quite a few weeks, and I thought I'd update you as to why. Well, it's only been three weeks, but it feels like it's been quite a lot longer.

Turning My Blog into a Book with BlookUp
After my first blog birthday, I wanted something to commemorate my first year as a fully fledged blogger. So when BlookUp got in touch, it was practically written in the stars.

Diva Cup Fever
I should warn you now: if you aren't okay with period talk or vaginas, you should probably not read this post, cause this post is full of 'em.

5 Reasons to Donate Blood
I've never really been scared of needles the way a lot of people are. I mean, I don't like watching them take blood or piercing anything, but the thought of it doesn't frighten me. Maybe that's why I find it a lot easier to donate blood than most. I thought I'd write this post as a way to encourage and educate on the process of giving blood.

Favourite Autumn Lip Colours
With the darker nights, I love bringing a dark influence into my makeup during autumn/winter. The seasons generally don't dictate my style, and I'll quite happily wear a grey lip in the height of July, but I'm much more confident in my makeup during the winter because it probably won't melt off of my face with the heat.

VIP Lush Event: Halloween Launch and Spa Tour

In honour of the launch of Lush's Halloween range, on August 22nd I had one of my dreams come true. I, along with a bunch of other bloggers, was given free roam around Lush after closing. I'm really coming around to the idea of lock-ins in stores!

The Perfect Pedicure?

The one part of my body I always tend to neglect is my poor little feet. I don't wear sandals or walk around barefoot, so it's just a part of my body that's never really on show, and in turn forgotten about! I barely make the time to paint my fingernails, let alone my toenails. In a bid to pamper myself, I donned a face mask and took on the task of making my feet look relatively soft and normal.

Supercuts: #SquadGoals
I've been to my fair share of lock-ins, but nothing beats being locked in a salon with a team of hairdressers and beauticians!

#LIVHelps
I absolutely adore blogging events, and I was lucky enough to be invited to #LivHelps, hosted by the wonderful Sammy, in one of my favourite bars. As I’m sure you all know if you follow me on any social media, I always seem to be in Dough Bar, so I was pretty pleased when they came to the rescue after an issue with a previous venue!

A Year of Blogging
It’s my blog birthday! I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I made the big scary step of posting my first ever review online! Looking back at my first posts, and it’s amazing for me to see how far I’ve come. I’m slowly but surely improving my blog, going to conferences and events, meeting so many amazing people, and I even hosted my first ever blogging event (and it was amazing)! In a year of blogging, I’ve learnt some lessons, and been given a lot of valuable advice, and I’d like to share some of my insights with you.

LPP Event: Our Planning Paid Off
In case you hadn’t noticed my meltdowns over the past few months, the LPP Event that Alisha and I spent several months preparing has finally been and gone, and it was amazing! All of our hard work, blood, sweat, and tears have paid off!

Vamping Up My Storage
Dave is always telling me that I have too much stuff. To be fair to him, I do need to get a bit of a grip and stop hoarding. I just have so many things and not enough storage in our one-bedroom flat. As you’ll remember, one of my 2016 goals was to be more organised, so when I was contacted by Store, I snapped up the chance to try one of their beauty organisers.

Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil: Brow Wiz Dupe?
There. I said it. Even though a lot of people swear that the Dip Brow Pomade is the best thing for eyebrows since discovering eyebrow wax as a teenager, I’ve just never needed it. The eyebrow gods have been kind to me and blessed me with a strong brow.

Epistick Hair Removal Review

Have you ever heard of an epilator? Well if you haven’t, episticks and epilators have the same purpose – to remove unwanted hair.

Blogging Dos and Don'ts
I’m coming up to a year of blogging (well, in August), and I’m quite surprised how much I've learned in this first year! When I first started, I had no idea what I was doing, or what was going to unfold for me. Going through old posts, I can see how my style is evolving, and it just makes me wonder where I'll be in another year's time! One of my favourite types of posts to read are blogging help posts, and I thought it might be useful for some to share my Dos and Don’ts of blogging that I've learned over the past year.

Liverpool Bloggers: LivBloggersBall
Last Sunday I had the pleasure of attending another Liverpool Bloggers event, hosted by Steph Bewley. Steph’s last event was great, so I had high expectations, and she definitely didn’t disappoint.

Blog On MSI 2016
If you had told me a year ago that I would have been attending a blogger conference, and rubbing shoulders with some of the UK’s most notable professional bloggers, I’d have probably laughed in your face. However, I found myself doing just that on May 1st this year! Thanks to a friend, I managed to get a ticket to the annual Blog On MSI. Taking place in the Museum of Science and Industry, Blog On is a conference run by Laura Seaton, that has been going for several years now, garnering more and more interest each year.

My London Adventure and Haul
GUILTY CONFESSION: Before last week, I had never been to London. I’ve lived in the UK since 1999, and I’d never been to the capital! I’d been talking about going for ages, and in January I decided enough was enough and booked a train and hotel room for the first week in April. My friend Rach was kind enough to go with me, as a bit of a tour guide.

Review: Rack & Dollar
On Easter Sunday, Dave and I weren’t feeling the whole ‘stay home and have a massive roast’ vibe, so we spent the day in Liverpool City Centre. After having a massive brunch at The Baltic Social (where I broke a tooth on a hash brown), we ambled back into town and passed Rack and Dollar. It started absolutely lashing it down, and we’d never been before, so we decided to seek shelter there.

Review: Wahaca, Liverpool One
For our 6th anniversary, Dave and I had originally planned to go to Nando’s. I know, I know – it’s hardly a romantic spot, but I am easy to please when it comes to date nights.
